Pastor Jackson Emeritus

Pastor Willie James Jackson, Sr. is the oldest of nine children born to the union of the late Pastor B.T. Jackson and Willie Mae Jackson of Marion, Indiana.  Pastor B.T. Jackson was the founder and organizer of Rising Star Baptist church of Marion, Indiana, the church and ministry responsible for the spiritual development, licensing, and ordaining of Pastor W.J. Jackson, Sr.
 
Pastor W.J. Jackson, Sr. pastored Union Missionary Baptist Church of Muncie, Indiana and is the proud father of a son, Rev. W.J. Jackson, Jr., and daughter, Anitra.
 
Pastor Jackson’s educational pursuits include attending: Marion College (presently Indiana Wesleyan) of Marion, Indiana; Indiana Christian University of Indianapolis, Indiana; Central Baptist Theological Seminary, Indianapolis, Indiana; and Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana; and a graduate of Miami University, Miami, Ohio, majoring in Religion and Psychology.
 
He retired in September 2015 after 29 years of dedication and service.
